SheJumps x Teton Nordic Ski School | Women's Nordic Series | ID & WY

The Teton Women's Nordic Series is back with some fun new twists! Join SheJumps and the ladies of Teton Nordic Ski School for a fun & social Nordic Ski Series in the Teton Valley! We will have three unique opportunities to get out on the trails in the Teton valley, each with a different focus. Feel free to join for one or all three events!

Our first event will be Saturday, January 17th @ 1:00 PH at the Alta Nordic Track. This will be our first beginner focused session for classic cross country skiing! We will have classic skis available for people to try out for the day thanks to the generosity of JHNordic, Peaked, and Yostmark. If you would like to borrow skis for the event, be sure to fill out the checkout questions so we do our best to have appropriately sized gear for you! If you are needing gear for the day, consider making a donation to JH Nordic (link to: https://jhnordic.com/make-a-donation/) to help them keep the skis waxed. This day will be treated as a lesson geared towards beginners.

Our second event will be our ever popular full moon ski in Teton Canyon on Friday February 27th @ 6:30 PM! This is a fun and social ski, that's an out and back of the length of your choosing. Skate and classic skiing is welcome. Afterwards we will have a tailgate party in the parking lot, complete with Solo Stove fires, hot cocoa, and prizes!

Our last event will be a get together ski on Tuesday March 10th @ 5:30 PM. Location is TBD, but likely will be at the South Valley Trails. We will start with a tip of the day, which you can work on throughout the session as you meet other participants and future ski partners. After the tip of the day, we will likely break into small groups based on ski style and speed. Skate and classic skiing is welcome.

What should I bring?
Be sure to bring a headlamp for the evening sessions. Please bring everything you need to be comfortable for an evening of nordic skiing(skis, poles, gloves, headband, hat, buff, etc.).

Who can come?
All skiing speeds are welcomed! Skiers should be able to ski at least 3km/1.9mi of trail. The first event is geared towards beginners and classic skiing, with the other two events open to everyone, including classic and skate skiers of all abilities. If you are interested in more lessons after the first event, we recommend booking a lesson with Teton Nordic Ski School.

We welcome all women and girls—transgender and cisgender, as well as non-binary people to attend this series.

Throughout the series, we will be meeting at different trail systems in the valley to give you a taste of all the trails our home has to offer!

Registration is required for our first session, especially if you plan to borrow gear. Registration for the other two events is highly encouraged, but we won’t turn anyone away!

Parking and getting to the event: there is ample free parking. Although there are no public transportation options available, we encourage you to invite a friend and carpool if you can!
